Privacy Policy
Last Updated: December 6, 2024
1. Introduction
TempCh ("we", "our", or "the Bot") values your privacy. This policy outlines what data we collect, how we use it, and how long we keep it. By using the Bot, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
2. Data We Collect
We collect the minimum amount of data necessary for the Bot to function. This includes:
- Discord User IDs: To identify channel owners and manage permissions (allow/deny access lists).
- Discord Server (Guild) IDs: To store configuration settings for specific servers (e.g., generator channel IDs).
- Channel IDs: To track active temporary voice and text channels for auto-deletion.
3. How We Use Data
The collected data is used strictly for functionality:
- To verify if a user has permission to edit, lock, or join a temporary channel.
- To detect when a voice channel is empty so it can be deleted.
- To persist server configurations (such as custom channel names or limits).
We do NOT sell, trade, or transfer your data to outside parties.
4. Data Retention
Temporary Data: Data related to active voice channels (e.g., who is permitted to join) is typically stored in the bot's temporary memory (RAM) and is deleted immediately when the channel is deleted or the bot restarts.
Persistent Data: Server configurations (setup) are stored in a database until the bot is removed from the server or the configuration is reset.
5. User Rights (GDPR/CCPA)
You have the right to request the deletion of your data. Since most data is tied to temporary channels, simply leaving the channel or waiting for it to be deleted removes the data. For persistent server data, an administrator can reset the bot's settings.
If you wish to request a full data wipe manually, please contact us via our Support Server.
